A Case Report of Late-Onset Neonatal Meningitis Caused by SARS-CoV-2

Introduction: Central nervous system involvement by SARS-CoV-19 appears to be very rare in neonates. We report a case of viral meningitis neonate admitted Kerman Afzalipour Hospital Southeastern Iran. Case Presentation: The patient was 15-day-old who presented with lethargy, fever, and poor feeding the day before admission. After initial evaluation experimental treatment, diagnosed SARS- CoV-19 polymerase chain reaction (PCR) analysis cerebrospinal fluid. Empirical treatment done antibiotics supportive care. confirmed, were discontinued. In follow-up two weeks later, had good condition no particular problem. Conclusions: This is SARS-CoV-2 neonate. Therefore, if there epidemiological evidence, central due this virus should also considered
